About the Role:
Were seeking a senior-level SAP Basis - System Administrator to join our client and its international team in an exciting project. This is an autonomous individual contributor role focused on the NextGen SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional Basis administration and modern cloud connectivity providing best-practice guidance and strategic recommendations for S/4HANA projects.
Key Responsibilities:
System Provisioning & Lifecycle: Provisioning SAP instances and managing the full lifecycle of system copies including backup export documentation and planning.
S/4HANA & BTP Integration: Provisioning integrations via SAP BTP Integration Suite and managing technical connections between the architecture teams specifications and the backend systems.
Upgrades & Maintenance: Executing version upgrades within the S/4 landscape and implementing necessary support packages and kernel upgrades to ensure proactive system health.
Performance & Tuning: Conducting SAP Basis and database workload analysis and performance tuning for HANA2 and Oracle environments.
Connectivity & Security: Connecting surrounding systems based on actual security standards and maintaining SAP High-Availability solutions.
Support & Validation: Testing and validating patch installations and providing follow-up support for error correction caused by new patches.
Requirements:
Experience: A medior-to-senior profile with approximately 6 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
S/4HANA Expertise: Proven proficiency in greenfield implementations system conversions and upgrades.
SAP BTP Skills: 46 years of essential experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite and managing cloud-to-on-premise integrations.
Database Management: In-depth knowledge of HANA2 and Oracle; SQL Server experience is a plus.
Technical Breadth: Strong understanding of network protocols security policies and High-Availability setup.
Soft Skills: Must be able to work autonomously within a senior team and possess the communication skills to Explain & Guide colleagues and clients effectively.
Language: English full professional level
Logistic Details:
Start Date: April 1 2026.
End Date: December 31 2026 (with potential extension into 2027).
Location: Solna (Stockholm) or 100% Remote work within the EU is acceptable.
Travel: Minimal estimated at 12 travels per year for remote workers.
Availability: Applicants must be available to work during November and December as these are critical project months.
