Founded in 1953 Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters Degree in the respective or related discipline from an accredited college or university. The preferred applicant will have teaching experience at the community college level in one or more of the following: music appreciation the history of jazz the history of rock and roll and music in world cultures. Experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning is also preferred. Availability to teach on-campus daytime classes required.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide classroom and online instruction in music history and theory.
Evaluate student performance.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary is $1523.00 per contact hour beginning Fall 2026 semester.
