The Opportunity

Coach Atlantic Transportation Group is currently recruiting School Bus Drivers in Moncton NB. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Atlantic Canadas leading passenger transportation companies and play a key role in delivering safe reliable and memorable travel experiences for our passengers.

We are looking for full time part time and casual school bus drivers - previous school bus driving experience in not necessary.

School bus drivers typically work a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon. Most drivers do not work; on weekends statutory holidays during Summer break Christmas break March break snow days and various school development days. However extra hours are usually available if desired (field trips charters concerts etc).

To operate a school bus for Coach Atlantic you will require a class 2B drivers license - air brake endorsement is not required. If you do not currently have a class 2B license we can help you obtain one. The process involves:

Complete a 5 day training course Obtain a clean criminal check vulnerable sector check a drivers abstract a vision test a written test and a road test. Once a 2B license is obtained we provide paid training and reimbursement for most licensing costs.

Employment with Coach Atlantic offers:

2 hour minimum call in.
Paid sick day accrual (max 10 per year).
4% Vacation pay paid on every pay deposit (bi-weekly)
Typically the same routes or combination of routes.
Typically the same bus (automatic transmission).
Potential to park bus at your home or a nearby base.
Maritime Bus line run discounts for employees.
Annual clothing allowance.
An average day consists of a morning shift and an afternoon shift.
Paid snow days (i.e. when school is cancelled due to storm).
Extra work opportunities (i.e. school charters concert events).
Casual bus drivers can pick and choose work assignments
