Job Summary

At Routine Labs we are building Europes first secure auditable and EU-compliant automation infrastructure for legacy systems. Were taking a practical approach to improving how people work with AI systems combining LLMs with established software engineering methods to make it easier to build modify and maintain software automations. Our platform reduces the effort required to turn natural-language instructions into deterministic testable code that can interface with and automate legacy systems.

Design plays a central role in making this complexity understandable controllable trustworthy and a pleasure to work with for users. From the product interface to the brand system that surrounds it our goal is to build a calm precise and reliable design language.

Were hiring a Working Student Design (Product & Brand) to support both the product experience and the visual identity of Routine Labs.

Tasks

  • Support the design of product interfaces such as forms workspaces and dashboards.
  • Create UI components and maintain and develop our design system (typography colour spacing components).
  • Translate product requirements into clear interaction flows wireframes and high-fidelity screens.
  • Contribute to brand design across website social presentations and marketing assets.
  • Prepare design assets for handover and collaborate closely with engineers during implementation.
  • Help maintain visual consistency across product website and communication materials.
  • Support user-facing content such as interface patterns and UX copy.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree related to design HCI interface design or similar. Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals.
  • Experience with Figma Lovable and modern interface design workflows.
  • Understanding of basic UX principles such as hierarchy clarity and usability.
  • Ability to work across both product UI and brand design.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured thinking.
  • Comfortable working in English.
  • Nice addition: experience with design systems motion/interaction design Claude Code MCP-workflows frontend-engineering.
