Job Description

Project: Client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Validation Engineer to join their team working on advanced automotive embedded systems. This is a hands-on role where youll design and execute system- and component-level tests for vehicle hardware and software debug issues and collaborate closely with engineering teams to help implement fixes.

Responsibilities:

• Test engineers need to execute a test plan but they need to work with other (current need) engineer to verify the fixes fix them and move on so its an expansive task
• Need to get into the details to both test/validate as well as help resolve the problem
• Also at the system/vehicle level they need someone to ingest requirements and create robust test plans which the Test Engineer (above would then go and validate)

Requirements:

• 7 years of recent hardware/software/embedded testing experience
• 3 years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience
• Substantial experience writing and executing test cases
• Experience going past the step of logging the bug in Jira then actually do the debugging and assisting engineering teams with design and implementing a fix
• Experience with Vector Intrepid or other similar testing tools

• System or vehicle level
  • Window actuators switches speed controllers chip code etc. Basically breaking the vehicle up into systems
  • This team runs tests on that system
    • 7 years of hardware/software/embedded testing experience
    • 3 years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience
    • Substantial experience writing and executing test cases
    • Experience going past the step of logging the bug in Jira then actually do the debugging and assisting engineering teams with design and implementing a fix
    • Experience with Vector Intrepid or other similar testing tool
• Component level
  • Taking individual components out of the system to test them
  • Testing individual components looking for the bugs
    • 7 years of hardware/software/embedded testing experience
    • 3 years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience
    • Proficient in writing Python test scripts
    • Experience with component level testing
