POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Compute SME to support and optimize on-premises datacenter platforms within the Health & Public Service sector. This role owns the compute layer end-to-end ensuring high availability capacity alignment and adherence to strict security and compliance standards for critical infrastructure.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture build and lifecycle management of onsite compute and virtualization platforms.
- Manage Cisco UCS infrastructure including UCS Manager/Intersight Fabric Interconnects and service profiles.
- Perform hands-on Dell PowerEdge server administration managing iDRAC and firmware/driver lifecycles.
- Oversee VMware vSphere (ESXi/vCenter) and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) operations including NSX and vSAN integrations.
- Administer Windows Server (AD-joined workloads/Failover Clustering) and Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for escalations troubleshooting complex hardware hypervisor and OS issues.
