Emergency Veterinarian Gig Harbor WA
A specialty and emergency veterinary hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its collaborative medical team. This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced emergency medicine in a modern well-equipped facility supported by experienced veterinary technicians and specialists. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment where veterinarians can deliver high-quality care while continuing to grow their clinical skills.
Responsibilities
Evaluate diagnose and treat emergency and critical cases in companion animals
Stabilize patients and develop appropriate treatment plans
Perform emergency procedures and provide urgent medical care
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses treatment options and follow-up care
Collaborate with specialists and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
Active or eligible veterinary license
Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
