Primary Function
Leads and oversees the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program for secure facility operations ensuring injury prevention regulatory compliance and a proactive safety culture across one or morehighsecurity sites.
All services shall be providedin accordance withestablished standards principles and ethics of the professionapplicableprofessional specialty organizations and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized. Duties andResponsibilities:
Develop and maintain EHS policies procedures and training; conduct risk assessments and JHAs.
Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
Monitor compliance with OSHA NFPA EPA and state/local regulations; manage required reporting.
Lead the development implementation and documentation of safety-related programsand practicesfor ACA accreditation ensuring all EHS components meet or exceed applicable audit standards.
Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling hazard communication and PPE programs.
Chair the Safety Committee; analyze leading/lagging indicators andpresent toleadership.
Plan and lead emergency drills (fire severe weather medical evacuation) in coordination with Security and Medical.
Ability tomaintainconfidentiality andcomply withfederal privacy standards.
Ability to obtain andmaintainfavorable background investigations
Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident Resided in the US for 3 years in the past 5 years.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in safety engineering or related field.
5 years of EHS experience; heavy industrial preferred.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)or obtained within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Additionalcredentials (CHST CIH ASP) and ICS/NIMS training.
Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 orhigher;has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than24 months.

Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods andlift upto 2535lbsas role requires.
Participate in drills and emergency responses as assigned.
