Role Summary
The Proximity Procurement Analyst supports Proximity Buyers and Proximity Managers by delivering accurate data analysis market intelligence and performance reporting across local proximity procurement teams. The role ensures procurement decisions are based on reliable insights and contributes to process efficiency compliance with global guidelines and effective contract management.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategy Support
- Provide analytical support to Proximity Buyers and Category Managers in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
- Conduct local supplier market research benchmarking and trend analysis (economic competitive regulatory sustainability).
- Perform compliance and risk assessments in alignment with procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare dashboards reports and recommendations to support strategic procurement initiatives.
2. Operational Support
- Maintain accurate and uptodate procurement data (contracts pricing service levels) within procurement IT systems.
- Consolidate spend data and supplier performance metrics to generate actionable insights.
- Assist in preparing negotiation materials and cost models for buyers.
- Support reporting on savings spend coverage and other procurement KPIs.
3. Contract & Supplier Management
- Monitor contract compliance with global procurement guidelines.
- Support buyers in supplier audits and supplier performance reviews to ensure quality and contractual requirements are met.
- Gather and structure data for supplier feedback processes.
4. Performance & Procurement Community Contribution
- Participate actively in the procurement community by sharing benchmarks guidelines and best practices.
- Support the implementation of new procurement tools digital solutions and process improvements.
Skills & Experience
Essential Experience
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Experience managing and maintaining accurate procurement or financial data.
- Understanding of procurement processes and contract management fundamentals.
- Ability to conduct supplier market research benchmarking and trend analysis.
- Proficiency with procurement IT systems and advanced Excel/data analysis tools.
- Ability to produce clear structured reports and dashboards.
- Experience supporting crossfunctional stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise work in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting sourcing strategy development.
- Exposure to spend analysis supplier performance reporting or KPI tracking.
- Experience preparing negotiation materials or cost models.
- Familiarity with contract compliance monitoring or supplier audit processes.
- Experience implementing procurement tools digital solutions or process optimisations.
- Knowledge of global procurement standards or multimarket procurement operations.
- Experience contributing to procurement communities or knowledgesharing forums.
