Cutting Operative

Job Title: Cutting OperativeWe are looking for Cutting Operatives to join our growing team in Hawick to cut mark and prepare a wide variety of garments and is a full-time permanent position working 38 hours a week on dayshift. Rate of pay for this role is 13.08 per hour increasing to 13.45 in May training will be provided but if you have experience in this role or something similar your expertise will be highly valued and the RoleYou will be:selecting bundles of work and checking the contentsreferring to precise cutting specification and select appropriate template and measurements for the itemlay out the item on the table and mark any required areas for cutting as specifiedcutting out a shape as marked and ensuring it is required cut trimmings (e.g. pockets straps)folding garments together with any trimmings and put asidemark details on worksheet and attach self-stick label to progress sheetAbout youYou will excellent colour visionhigh levels of attention to detailgood concentration to stay focused for long periods of timeAbout UsFounded in 1797 Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the worlds finest fibres.
