Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Carpenter Technician to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate responsible for constructing installing and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Their work encompasses a variety of tasks including interpreting blueprints measuring and cutting materials and collaborating with other construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Measurement and Construction:

Measuring cutting shaping and assembling materials such as wood tilesdrywall or fiberglass to construct frameworks walls furniture and other structures.

Installation of Fixtures:

Installing doors windows flooring cabinetry and other fixtures ensuring they meet design and safety standards.

Repair and Maintenance:

Inspecting and repairing damaged structures and fixtures to maintain safety and functionality.

Tool Operation:

Utilizing both hand and power tools including saws drills and sanders safely and effectively to perform various carpentry tasks.

Collaboration:

Working closely with other construction professionals such as architects engineers and contractors to ensure projects are completed successfully and according to specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or vocational training in carpentry.

Previous experience as a carpenter or in maintenance work.
Knowledge of woodworking tools materials and techniques.
Ability to read measurements and basic technical drawings.
Install repair and maintain wooden structures furniture doors and fixtures.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure work is completed according to safety and quality standards.
Good attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
