Job Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring and controlling the security of La-Z-Boy employees and La-Z-Boy properties. This position does so by routinely patrolling the properties and monitoring multiple security the event of suspicious or improper activities occurring the guard is responsible for reporting the issue to appropriate manager and/or local emergency personnel. This position often works without direct supervision and must demonstrate strong decision-making skills.

Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Control the security gate for entering and exiting trucks
Complete rounds throughout the entire complex to ensure appropriate doors are locked
Ensure no unauthorized persons are on the premises
Monitor security cameras in the guard house for suspicious activities
Document shift activities and communicate any issues to supervision and fellow security personnel
Keep office neat clean and in an orderly manner
Monitor and report or correct any safety concerns as necessary
Respond appropriately to all suspicious activities and alert authorities and manager(s) as necessary

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age or older
Working knowledge of Windows PC
