Security Officer Full-Time Patrol

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol in Fredericksburg VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff patients and visitors with clear communication courteous customer service and timely reporting. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as corridors lobbies waiting areas and/or parking areas observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation and/or coordinating notifications to clinical staff and emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and key areas for authorized entry assist with visitor direction and wayfinding and/or help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident documentation communicate observations to site leadership and/or incoming officers and support investigations by preserving relevant details for security-related reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred to be able to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Preferred to be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
