As our next Machine Builder youll be at the forefront of building specialpurpose machinery from the ground up. You will fit machine build assemble integrate debug and support commissioning activities that bring advanced automation systems to life. Your expertise in mechanical assembly hydraulics/pneumatics integration blueprint interpretation precision measurement and machine building will be essential in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of whats possible.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings build prints schematics and bills of materials.
Fabricate and machine basic metal components as needed.
Fit and assemble parts/subassemblies to build specialpurpose machinery.
Integrate pneumatic and hydraulic circuits into machinery.
Coordinate with electricians and PLC programmers to support their needs during machine build.
Document all work and inspections properly.
Conduct test runs and adjust equipment to meet specifications.
Provide mechanical support during debug integration and machine acceptance phases.
Reassemble equipment at the customer site and train maintenance/operators.
Verify parts to spec using precision measurement tools (scales calipers micrometers gauges).
Attend design reviews and support continuous improvement projects.
Recommend design changes to improve manufacturing assembly and maintenance processes.
Maintain cleanliness in work areas and job zones; support CI initiatives.
5 years of experience in automation/machine assembly or millwright experience (machining skills preferred).
Strong handson mechanical assembly skills.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision instruments in both imperial and metric systems.
Ability to read/interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
Experience with lifting/rigging techniques.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Basic MS Office proficiency (Word Excel Outlook).
Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
Strong understanding of safety standards and requirements.
Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
High integrity dependability urgency and results orientation.
Experience in machine debug commissioning or customersite installation.
Prior work in an automation build environment (mechanical focus).
Continuous improvement or design feedback experience.
