The Sexual Assault Program Director provides strategic leadership and vision for YWCA Clark Countys 24/7 response for survivors of sexual assault (SA). This leadership role is responsible for aligning programming with the organizations mission of advancing racial and gender justice through trauma-informed culturally responsive and evidence-based practices. Reporting to the Vice President of Support and Prevention Programs the Director plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining sexual assault services for the community building and maintaining partnerships and overseeing a dedicated skilled and mission-driven team.

Essential Duties:
- Assure that participants staff volunteers and community partners are treated with respect and dignity regardless of race ethnic background gender or socioeconomic background.
- Gain approval for track and engage in activities that meet the organizations 1% for Social Change requirement.
- Think through the lens of racial equity and its intersections with poverty. Use the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in all daily tasks. Seek opportunities for continued learning about racial gender and class equity.
- Ensure coverage at the Community Office for walk-in crisis support overnight on-call support and hotline calls in a manner that supports the needs of participants.
- Maintain program specific practices and procedures that meet all funding requirements as dictated by various contracts and grants as well as with state and federal legislation/code.
- Coordinate training of new volunteers in conjunction with SA team.
- Respond to staff volunteer supervisor and community partner requests in a timely respectful and appropriate manner.
- Be prepared and present for all required Sexual Assault program and YWCA Clark County meetings which include but are not necessarily limited to Sexual Assault program staff meetings All-Staff meetings Core Trainings and community and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Program Management:
- Ensure services provided to survivors and their families are survivor-centered trauma-informed empowerment-based culturally responsive and inclusive.
- With support from the SA team plan and facilitate strategic planning for the sexual assault program.
- Manage and track program budget and expenses.
- Work with Compliance staff on grant renewals as well as seeking new funding opportunities.
- Engage in ongoing program evaluation to ensure services support program goals and meet intended outcomes identifying gaps in services and opportunities for strategic and sustainable growth.
- Establish and maintain program specific practices and procedures in compliance with accreditation and grant requirements.
- Ensure adequate support and coverage for 24/7 hotline response.
Supervision:
- Lead coach support and provide consistent supervision professional development and performance management to nine program staff and volunteers.
- Ensure program staff comply with YWCA policies state/federal regulations and all grant/contract requirements including training service provision and reporting standards.
- Oversee volunteer management within the program.
- Foster an inclusive collaborative team environment that values accountability integrity and continuous learning.
- Ensure program is adequately staffed with qualified advocates that are representative of the communities served and that newly hired staff receive sufficient initial training and onboarding.
Program Compliance & Fiscal Oversight
- Lead program evaluation and impact measurement by overseeing program data collection analysis and continuous learning efforts to ensure accuracy and integrity of reports submitted to funders partners and internal stakeholders.
- Support grant development efforts including proposal writing budget creation program design and reporting for proposals and renewals.
- Steward positive relationships with funders by attending meetings responding to requests providing timely accurate reporting and by clearly articulating program outcomes impact and resource needs.
- Develop manage and monitor the Sexual Assault Program budget ensuring accurate allocation of resources and timely spend-down of multiple funding streams including government contracts foundation grants and other sources.
Requirements
There is a strong social justice component to all positions within YWCA Clark County requiring critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values.
Related Education:
- BS/BA degree in a related field such as social work and/or program management or possess equivalent experience or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 36 hours of SA related training in the last three years.
- Knowledge of trauma and best practices for creating a trauma-informed work environment for survivors receiving services.
Related experience:
- At least 2 years of experience providing advocacy/direct service to survivors of sexual assault.
- At least one year of experience in program leadership/management and development within a sexual assault program agency or closely related field.
- Experience providing effective coaching guidance and supervision to staff and volunteers.
- Has a strong working knowledge of racial equity and is committed to advancing anti-racism and inclusion frameworks in programming policies and practices.
- Demonstrated experience in community partnership development and public advocacy.
