Job Summary

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Firewall Architect to design and govern enterprise firewall architectures that ensure secure perimeter protection internal network segmentation and cloud boundary security. This role focuses on defining architecture patterns governance frameworks and deployment strategies that maintain strong network security across complex enterprise environments. The position plays a critical role in shaping firewall standards improving rule governance and supporting secure connectivity across on premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.

What you will do:

Design enterprise firewall architectures that support secure perimeter defence internal segmentation and cloud boundary protection.
Define firewall architecture patterns and security standards across the organisations network infrastructure.
Develop rule governance frameworks and lifecycle management processes for firewall policies.
Lead the design of firewall deployments across hardware appliances virtualised environments and cloud native platforms.
Establish network segmentation strategies to enhance security boundaries and reduce risk exposure.
Optimise firewall rulebases to improve performance maintain security posture and reduce policy complexity.
Identify opportunities for automation within firewall configuration policy deployment and governance processes.
Conduct risk assessments and evaluate change impacts related to firewall architecture and security controls.
Provide architectural guidance and documentation to support secure firewall implementation and operational practices.

Qualifications :

Extensive experience designing and managing enterprise firewall environments using platforms such as Check Point Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco ASA or Cisco Firepower.
Strong expertise in firewall rulebase optimisation and advanced threat prevention technologies.
Deep understanding of network security architecture including perimeter defence and internal segmentation strategies.
Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols network address translation and virtual private network technologies.
Experience designing security controls for hybrid infrastructure spanning on premises and cloud environments.
Understanding of micro segmentation approaches for securing internal network environments.
Strong experience performing security risk assessments and evaluating architecture changes.
Strong analytical documentation and architectural design skills within complex enterprise network environments.
