Engineer II (Java) Quick Commerce

We are looking for an Engineer II with Java to join our Quick Commerce team. 

Contribute to the creation of our next generation platform that works on expanding our amazing delivery to new products such as groceries pharmaceuticals flowers and more. Your mission:

• You will build our next generation platform to not only sell food to our hungry customers but also grocery items and many more. 

• You will design and optimize our internal back office applications in a fast growing environment such as a master product database catalog management systems campaign management ad-serving/ad-booking systems.

• You dont shy away from building reliable scalable systems with high concurrency and are always eager to learn new languages and technologies. Your decisions will make an impact since your ideas and efforts do matter.

Qualifications :

• 4 years of experience in Java or Kotlin (including Spring Boot or similar Java Frameworks) in the context of distributed systems and services and large-scale applications.

• A rock-solid foundation in Computer Science (data structures algorithms software design) and ability to work in a UNIX-like environment.

• Knowledge of common CI/CD tools ideally Github Actions Drone or Spinnaker and professional experience running highly available workloads on Kubernetes.

• Familiar with common monitoring / alerting / logging tools such as Prometheus Datadog ELK stack distributed tracing and knowledge of RESTful APIs GraphQL and Kafka.

• Ability to make independent decisions and take ownership for them beyond deployment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Golang or willingness to learn.

• Knowledge of relational databases (ACID isolation & index types storage engines).
