Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking a professional and guest-focused individual to join our Adventure & Experiences team as a Driver. This role delivers curated scenic transportation experiences to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise while ensuring the highest standards of safety service and guest engagement. The Adventure & Experiences Driver combines luxury transportation with guest hosting while supporting the daily operations of the Adventure & Experiences Centre.
Starting Rate: $20.58 per hour.
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.90 per hour.
This role is not eligible for staff accommodation.
Job Duties Include:
Safely operate 14-passenger luxury vans
Execute the scenic loop between Fairmont Banff Springs Moraine Lake and Lake Louise
Provide a smooth safe and defensive driving experience at all times
Welcome guests warmly and set clear expectations for the experience
Share engaging and accurate information about Banff National Park wildlife safety geography and local history
Manage guest timing at each destination to ensure smooth departures and adherence to schedule
Assist guests with loading and unloading personal belongings as needed
Maintain professional composure in high-traffic or high-volume park conditions
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness
Maintain accurate trip logs passenger counts and mileage tracking
Assist with the daily operation of the Adventure & Experiences Centre including booking rentals and selling products and amenities
Support bike hiking gear and other equipment rental operations
Communicate guest numbers timing and operational updates with the Adventure & Experiences leadership team
Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Adventure & Experiences Manager or Executive Team
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrate safe driving habits and general driving experience required; experience transporting guests or operating larger vehicles is an asset.
Valid Class 5 drivers license in good standing with a willingness to obtain a Class 4 license prior to the start date of employment. The cost of obtaining the Class 4 license will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the employment contract.
Current drivers abstract to be provided prior to your first day
Previous passenger transportation or hospitality driving experience considered an asset
Current Standard First Aid with CPR C or higher required
Strong knowledge of Banff National Park and surrounding attractions preferred
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions
Professional calm and confident communication style when interacting with guests and colleagues
Positive outgoing and professional attitude with a passion for Banff National Park and the Town of Banff
Ability to work split shifts including morning and afternoon scenic departures
Comfortable working outdoors in mountain weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods
