AECOM is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the delivery of critical municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects working on site across Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
In this role you will be at the forefront of construction working closely with multidisciplinary project teams clients and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with construction and field services teams across the Prairie District to deliver consistent field services.
- Work with project teams clients and contractors to resolve technical field issues.
- Review submittals as-builts and asset management documentation for commissioning and handover.
- Monitor construction quality performance and code compliance.
- Coordinate inspections manage RFIs/submittals and provide project updates.
- Support change management including site instructions change orders and claim or delay resolution.
- Participate in and document construction and commissioning meetings and field activities.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities including process equipment.
- Implement and maintain project-specific safety plans and QA/QC documentation.
- Certify contractor payments manage statutory holdbacks and support risk schedule cost and claims management.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- bachelors degree and 4 years of Contract Administration experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects or Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T. with ASET and 6 years of related experience
- Valid Alberta driving license and access to vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in a field role on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g. mobilization shop drawing reviews construction start-up and commissioning project closeout etc.).
- Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work in teams respond to changing demands be decisive under pressure and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel.
- Supervised construction related to vertical infrastructure (i.e. concrete structures buildings process equipment HVAC and plumbing electrical works I&C works).
- Process equipment commissioning experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
