As the Engineering Manager Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) youll lead the charge in shaping how quality and automation come to life across our Retail Media Network (RMN) platforms. Youll guide a talented team of SDETs and quality engineers build automation that scales and help teams ship highquality products with confidence. This role is hybrid which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield Minnesota and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What youll do
- Lead and mentor a team of SDETs and quality engineers to grow skills and drive engineering excellence
- Build and maintain automated tests for UI API functional and integration scenarios
- Strengthen our CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests for fast reliable feedback
- Improve test stability and product reliability through debugging triage and rootcause analysis
- Partner with product engineering and architecture teams to define testability and quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement across RMN to boost automation maturity and delivery efficiency
Basic qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software engineering test automation or SDET roles
- 1 years leading engineering or QA teams
- 2 years of handson experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium Playwright or Cypress
- 2 years of programming experience in JavaScript TypeScript Python or Java
- 1 year of experience building automated tests into CI/CD workflows
Preferred qualifications
- Background in Retail Media Networks AdTech or MarTech.
- SQL experience for validation and test data work.
- Experience supporting cloud transformation or API modernization.
- Familiarity with tools like TestRail Zephyr or qTest.
