Warehouse Associate Koopman Lumber Sutton Distribution Center (Sutton MA) Full-Time About the Role Koopman Lumber is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team at the Sutton Distribution Center. This role plays a critical part in our daily operations by ensuring materials are accurately picked staged and loaded for delivery to our retail locations and customers. Warehouse Associates work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy safety teamwork and attention to detail are essential. The role involves material handling inventory support order picking and assisting with the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and yard. Best-in-class customer service is the number one objective. What Youll Do - Pick materials accurately using delivery slips and order documents
- Identify stock and non-stock items using SKUs and product descriptions
- Pull the correct materials and quantities for delivery orders
- Stage and load trucks in the proper sequence for delivery routes
- Ensure loads are built banded and secured safely in compliance with DOT standards
- Replenish inventory by restocking full units as existing materials are pulled
- Monitor inventory levels and alert the Inventory Control Supervisor to low or out-of-stock items
- Inspect materials for quality before shipment to ensure only acceptable product is delivered
- Remove damaged or unacceptable materials from inventory areas
- Assist in maintaining an organized clean and safe warehouse environment
- Support dispatch and warehouse teams with order information unloading trucks and general operational needs
What You Bring - Experience working in a warehouse distribution center or material handling environment preferred
- Ability to read order slips and match product descriptions and SKUs accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Reliable work ethic and ability to stay productive in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Qualifications - Forklift or material handling equipment experience
- Experience loading trucks or staging delivery orders
- Familiarity with inventory control or warehouse management systems
Physical Demands - Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds
- Frequent lifting bending carrying and walking throughout the day
- Ability to work in a warehouse and yard environment in varying temperatures
