This role is part of Alcons Sales & Sales Support function a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly.
The Manager Vision Care Account Management is primarily responsible for managing key accounts locally fostering relationships and achieving sales targets. You will build meaningful connections with key partners understand customer challenges and find solutions to improve patient care.
In this role a typical day will include:
Manage key accounts at an international level usually overseeing a small team or specific account(s)/relationships
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within accounts understanding customer challenges and identifying solutions to enhance patient care
Drive sales promotion and development in designated accounts to reach commercial goals
Establish and develop long-term relationships with key customers by acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements
Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives
Lead the preparation of strategies and individual tactical plans providing strategic input on analysis future potential and key programs required for the accounts
Prepare and negotiate contracts guiding initiatives targeting specific accounts
Analyze the market situation including competitive intelligence activities on key accounts and competitors
Contribute to stakeholder mapping including segmentation and profiling and provide accurate and timely data for the Alcon Customer Relationship Management system
Drive the sales operations plan and achieve agreed sales and broader performance targets
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
Education:University Degree or equivalent
Languages:Fluency in English other European languages are a plus
Experience &Competencies:
- Strong negotiator
- Persuasive ability
- Experienced in working across functions and matrix organizations strong ability in building andmaintainingeffective working relationships witha great varietyof people
- Strong project management capabilitiestrack recordof establishingshort and long termgoals followed up by successful implementation
- Strong analytical and strategic skills
- Outstanding communication skills both internally as well as externally
- Background in FMCGand ideally fromonline trade.
- Strategic key account management / sales management experience of >5 years combined with strong marketing skills
- Goodskills using PowerPoint
