This role is a blend of systems thinker coach designer change catalyst and grounded practitioner. The right person for this role has advised on and led transformation from within an organization believes in fit-for-purpose organizational design and exceptional employee experiences as drivers of business impact and can turn workforce insights and future signals into tangible organizational prototypes that spark real change. They quickly understand what makes an organization unique and know how to pull the right structural cultural and talent levers to make change real and successful.

In this role you will:

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on team and organizational dynamics diagnosing organizational health and effectiveness challenges and identifying accelerants
• Advise leaders on their organizational design team structures and workflows to meet business needs establishing design principles governance and change processes to support agility consistency and transparency across functions
• Partner with the People Experience team to design interpret and socialize organizational health metrics (e.g. spans/layers attrition internal mobility etc.) to inform interventions
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on strategic workforce planning including identifying critical capabilities gaps and succession needs
• Strengthen Recursions leaders and leadership bench by incorporating our leadership expectations throughout the employee lifecycle - from hiring to development to performance assessment and career pathing.
• Own and evolve performance management by coaching senior leaders (1:1 and group) refining talent review and succession planning processes and actions and building cross functional communities of leadership best practice

The Experience Youll Need:

Were looking for a proactive curious operator with a clear passion for organizational effectiveness developing leaders and improving the experience of work. Ideally you bring experience working in a biotech pharma or scientific research-driven environment and have the expertise in:

• Applying systems thinking to diagnose organizational health and design interventions that address root causes
• Partnering effectively with scientists engineers and business leaders to bridge disciplines and align diverse professional cultures
• Coaching senior technical and organizational leaders to improve or sustain their impact
• Leading large-scale organizational change and cultural transformation initiatives
• Influencing senior leaders constructively challenge perspectives and build trusted executive relationships
• Translating engagement data performance metrics and qualitative feedback into clear insights and actionable executive recommendations
• Communicating complex ideas with clarity and precision in both written and verbal formats
• Managing a Slack-intensive operating environment
• Even better if you have a Masters or PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Organizational Behavior or a related field

Working Location & Compensation:

This is an office-based hybrid position at either ourNew York City New York office orour HQ in Salt Lake City Utah. Employees are expected to work in the office at least 50% of the time.

At Recursion we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role the estimated current annual base range for this role is $192500 to $250800 (USD). You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
