Job Description:

Illuminas AI Center of Excellence is seeking a passionate and future thinking AI Engineer to deliver world class innovative solutions across the this role will provide technical expertise and oversight of the development of integrated software algorithms to structure analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments. Directs the use of machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees logistic regression and Bayesian analysis to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve performance quality data management and accuracy. Applies deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize learn and respond to complex situations. Adapts machine learning to areas such as virtual reality augmented reality artificial intelligence robotics and other products that allow users to have an interactive experience.

This is an India-based role and candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid work setting with a few days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
Architect and develop complex AI agent systems for manufacturing automation and optimization
Design and implement multi-agent orchestration frameworks for production environments
Build and maintain ontologies and knowledge bases for domain-specific AI applications
Lead technical initiatives from concept through production deployment
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders across manufacturing logistics and engineering teams
Drive innovation in AI agent capabilities and integration patterns
Ensure scalability reliability and performance of AI systems in production

Required Qualifications
Experience: 5 years in AI/ML development and deployment
AI Agent Development: Proven track record of building AI agents with at least some production or near-production deployment experience

Technical Expertise:
Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
Deep understanding of LLM architectures fine-tuning and prompt engineering
Hands-on experience designing orchestration systems for multi-agent workflows
Working knowledge of ontology design and knowledge representation
Experience with deployment practices and taking systems beyond local development

Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience within the AWS Technology Stack (MS Azure experience a plus)
Model Context Protocol (MCP) - familiarity or experimentation (this is a cutting-edge production experience not expected)
Domain Knowledge: Background in healthcare manufacturing logistics sales supply chain or customer service (strong plus but not required)
Track record of leading technical projects or mentoring engineers
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML systems
Publications blog posts or presentations on AI agent systems
Active engagement with emerging AI technologies a
