Follows Arkansas State Board of Nursings Nurse Practice Guidelines for School to work with out immediate supervision of a as school/parent/community/health care provider assesses plans intervenes and evaluates student health screening for health factors impacting student education and utilizes assembled information to assist students in securing attention or illness/injury assessments and chronic disease management and and monitors medication pediatric nursing procedures such as: gastrostomy feedings tracheostomy care and urinary education to promote health and prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted Individualized Nursing Health Care Plans and directs services for students with disabilities and/or health conditions that interfere with guidelines for school district health policies goals and health assessments and participates in Individualized Education Plan development as in crisis team recommendations for health discretion with regard to confidentiality maintains privacy and protection of student and family information and demonstrates abreast of new or updated and participates in department JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain emotional control under all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative on committees as current on instructional practices in nursing. Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds to endure prolonged standing walking sitting kneeling occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders bending and squatting.
