Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional with strong AS9100 and ISO9001 experience to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
The role offers a hybrid working setup combining on-site collaboration with flexibility to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the organisations Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
Lead internal and external audits including customer and certification audits
Manage root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
Work cross-functionally with engineering production and supply chain teams
Support supplier quality management and supplier audits where required
Ensure compliance with regulatory customer and industry requirements
Provide quality expertise during new product introduction and process changes
Requirements
Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer role within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
Experience conducting internal and external audits
Skilled in root cause analysis tools (e.g. 8D 5 Whys Fishbone)
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering manufacturing or a related field (preferred)
