POSITION INFORMATION
- Position summary:
  - The Histology Technician reporting to the Coordinator is responsible for the technical preparation and processing of Histology specimens for examination by the Pathologist. The Histology Technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age developmental age and/or psychosocial maturity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
  - HT-ASCP Registered with two years on the job training or graduate of an accredited Histology Technician Program with practicum experience.
- Required length and type of experience:
  - HT-ASCP Registered with two years on the job training or graduate of an accredited Histology Technician Program with practicum experience.
- Required licensure certification or registry:
  - Registry eligible or HT-ASCP Registered
