Middle School Science Teacher

Tower Hill School seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Middle School Science Teacher beginning in August of 2026. The ideal candidate will have a broad academic background in the sciences and a passion for working with middle school students. The candidate should be well versed in experiential science education to help develop our curriculum. The candidate would be a team player joining a close-knit faculty where each grade level has a team of teachers cooperating to advance middle school science. This is a full-time benefitted 10-month position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach four sections of middle school science
  • Specific grades and content determined based on candidates experience and needs of the department
• Participate in regular conferences with students parents and colleagues
• Engage in the design and development of curricular materials with colleagues
• Provide clear instructions supervision and confidence leading Middle School students through hands-on lab work
• Serve as an advisor for up to 10 students
• Participate in faculty collaborations and meetings
• Assist with student supervision and chaperoning

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Science Education or related field (masters degree preferred)
• Experience in student centered education and differentiation
• Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of children
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong communication skills both verbal and non-verbal

• Enthusiasm for professional growth academic excellence and creative teaching
• Ability to plan and organize educational content
• Commitment to broad participation in school life

• Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
• Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of students

• Demonstrated safety/laboratory experience
