The Machinistrole is a full-time position that will be responsible for using milling machines boring mills grinders lathes and precision measuring equipment to perform/alterations on aircraft parts and fabricate tools. Reporting to the Director of Production the ideal candidate should be a qualified trade professional and a proven craftsman. This role is based onsite in Fort Lauderdale FL.

Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

Select the appropriate tools machines and materialsto be used in the preparation of machinery work
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge ofmathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Verniercalipers
Align and secure holding fixtures cutting toolsattachments accessories or materials onto machines
Set up adjust and operate all of the basic machinetools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precisionmachining operations
Clean and lubricate machines tools and equipment toremove grease rust stains and foreign matter
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during themachining process
Observe and listen to operating machines or equipmentto diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments orrepairs
Study sample parts blueprints drawings andengineering information to determine methods and sequences of operationsneeded to repair products and determine product dimensions and tolerances
Machine parts to specifications using machine toolssuch as lathes milling machines shapers or grinders
Check work pieces to ensure that they are properlylubricated or cooled
Position and fasten workpieces
Measure examine or test completed units to check fordefects and ensure conformance to specifications using precisioninstruments such as micrometers
Confer with engineering or supervisory personnel to exchangetechnical information
Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of methods of repairing installing and maintaining components of aircraft articles.
Skilled in performing repairs and modifications onaircraft articles.
Familiar with tools and equipmentappropriate for the functions performed.
Ability to understand and interpret documents related to technical manuals diagrams and safety rules.
