Job Title: DevOps Engineer (ELK Kubernetes)
Location: Charlotte NC (Onsite)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in ELK Stack (non-AWS managed ELK) Kubernetes and Docker to support enterprise-level applications for a leading financial client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building deploying and maintaining scalable containerized environments and managing centralized logging solutions using ELK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and manage ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) for centralized logging and monitoring (self-managed not AWS managed services).
- Deploy manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker.
- Orchestrate container workloads using Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development QA and infrastructure teams to streamline deployment processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot performance issues in distributed systems.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) self-hosted implementation.
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster setup configuration and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash Python or similar).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large financial institutions (e.g. banking domain).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and observability practices.
- Understanding of infrastructure automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
