The Impact You Will Have:
You will support the Tax team in maintaining accurate and timely global tax compliance and tax accounting supporting indirect tax and withholding tax processes across multiple jurisdictions strengthening documentation controls and operational efficiency as the company grows. Your work will help ensure data accuracy reduce operational risk and improve visibility into tax positions. This is a flexible opportunity designed to fit around your academic schedule with part-time hours during the school year and a full-time commitment over the summer. Youll gain hands-on experience working alongside seasoned tax professionals supporting a variety of tax compliance and research activities in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Support tax compliance by helping gather data and prepare working papers for U.S. federal and state income tax returns (supporting schedules data pulls reconciliations) and non-U.S. income tax and local filings (data collection tracking of deadlines status updates).
- Assist with indirect tax (e.g. sales and use tax VAT/GST) by preparing or reviewing basic reconciliations between systems (ERP tax tools returns) and supporting registration filing calendars and documentation requests.
- Assist with responding to requests sent to the Tax team from internal business partners as well as external parties including customers and tax auditors
- Support tax accounting and provision activities by assisting in preparing schedules for quarterly and annual tax provision and helping reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts.
- Documentation and research maintaining and organizing tax files trackers and process documentation performing targeted research on tax topics and summarizing findings.
- Respond to tax notices and assist with audit support under the guidance of the manager.
- Participate in team meetings training sessions and professional development activities.
- Perform other tax-related duties and special projects as assigned.
The Experience You Will Need:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (formulas lookups pivots and basic data analysis)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Foundational understanding of accounting
- Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset with a willingness to ask questions and explore how things work
- Experience with using AI tools (e.g. Gemini Claude) is a plus
