Job Summary

description:

Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field retracting and passing instruments supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills including the maintenance of department includes all functions related to operating room services including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services inpatient and/or outpatient services and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU anesthesia functions pre op holding and/or central sterile functions. If your department is operating as a combined department with all surgery services combined please notify FP&A and we can map it to Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia to provide you with an appropriate benchmark.

Full time 8 hour days 40 hours a shift with evening night and weekend standbyCV experience of 2 years required and must be recent and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredAssociates/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredScrub technician experience: PreferredOperating room experience and/or training course: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification: RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) or Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification: RequiredCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
