Job Summary
Job Title: Materials Handler/Material Clerk
Location: Newark DE 19702
Duration: Contract position of 03 months with possible extension
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay range: $21 to $26 an hour (Depends on experience & qualification)
Position Overview
Client is seeking a reliable Materials Handler to support warehouse and inventory operations. This role is responsible for ordering supplies maintaining inventory levels receiving and stocking materials and supporting shipping and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience strong organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory with a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control stocking and tracking of warehouse materials.
- Assist in issuing purchase orders and processing orders for technicians clients and vendors.
- Receive inspect and organize incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
- Pull package and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain warehouse stock levels.
- Deliver materials or parts to technicians and job sites as needed.
- Maintain warehouse organization and ensure safe handling of materials.
- Handle waste management including electronic waste equipment recycling and battery disposal.
- Maintain filing systems for invoices and documentation.
- Assist with permit applications submittals and operational documentation when required.
- Respond to phone inquiries from employees and customers regarding orders or materials.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in warehouse materials handling logistics or inventory roles
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Valid driver s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle if required
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Frequent standing walking bending kneeling and reaching
- Ability to climb ladders or safety ladders
- Work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels
