The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1. BACKGROUND: This is a non-personal services contract for one (1) Catholic Worship Musician forMountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB) Idaho. The contractor shall serve as a resource person advisor and coordinators of the Catholic worship service musicwithin the MHAFB community. The contractor consults and coordinates with the chapel assigned Chaplain Sponsor and is monitored by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) as appointed by the Contracting Officer (CO).
2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2.1 The Contractor shall provide evidence of a minimum one year of experience and comprehensive knowledge in the ability to play the following musical instruments: piano keyboard and guitar.
2.2 The Contractor must furnish a resume to include verifiable academic work/volunteer related references and a minimum of one year experience working as a Musician in a Catholic Mass or liturgical setting.
2.3 Provide evidence of the ability to sight read music and sing and play an instrument compatible with the Catholic tradition and guidelines.
3. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Additional requirements for the Contractor include:
Have an ability to work unsupervised in a fluid and sometimes stressful environment with staff parents and children.
Communicate effectively in English (both oral and written) and efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements.
Maintain professional standards of conduct and public decorum including but not limited to dress and grooming.
Constructively work with chapel staff and the public in a pluralistic environment.
Have a working knowledge of Personal Computer (PC) compatible hardware and software (especially Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint). Applicant must adhere to computer security requirements and usage. Applicant must comply with copyright license reporting and copyright license identification procedures.
4. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 The Contractor shall notify the assigned CO of any problems or issues that arise during the performance of this contract.
4.2 The Contractor shall participate in the preparation for MAJCOM and Wing directed inspections.
4.3 The Contractor shall attend the monthly Catholic Community Advisory Council meetings and provide a monthly music report in the absence of the Music Director.
4.4 The Contractor must adhere to the Catholic worship format to include musical selections. Final approval shall be made by the designated Catholic Chaplain.
4.5 The Contractor shall make his or her own copies scans and faxes with the provided copier machine located in the the event this machine does not satisfy the publicity needs for an event the Contractor will submit publicity reproduction needs by the suspense date established by the assigned Chaplain Sponsor.
4.6 The Contractor shall be responsible for clean up after programs and return used facility space to its original setup and condition.
4.7 Periodic ecumenical/Inter-faith service may be required in lieu of a regular scheduled unit as determined by the Catholic Chaplain or the Contracting Officer. Ecumenical/Inter-faith service may include but are not limited to holiday events memorial services special community events etc.
4.8 The Contractor shall not engage in the unauthorized duplication of copyrighted materials by photocopying or any other means that would expose the Government to liability for penalties under existing or future copyright laws.
4.9 The Contractor shall open and secure the chapel and other facilities used for Contractor activities as needed.
4.10 The Contractor shall maintain dress and appearance of a conservative nature and in good taste at all times.
4.11 The Contractor shall report all damages to Chapel equipment or facilities immediately or upon occurrence to the designated Catholic Chaplain Deputy Wing Chaplain or a Chaplain Assistant.
4.12 Upon contract award under no circumstance may the Contractor or Subcontractor also work on a Chapel Tithes and Offerings Fund (CTOF) contract for MHAFB until this contract expires or is cancelled.
4.13 The Contractor may be required to meet with Government personnel the CO and the COR during the performance period of this Contract. Meetings will be as often as necessary thereafter as determined by the COR or CO. The written minutes of all performance evaluation meetings may be prepared by the Government and signed by the CO. Should the Contractor non-concur with the minutes; the Contractor shall so state any areas of non- concurrence in writing to the CO NLT ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the signed minutes. The minutes shall be included in the Contract file.
5. WORK SCHEDULES
5.1 The Contractor shall perform one rehearsal (one hour minimum) and one worship service at the Liberty Chapel (Building 2606) per week. Each rehearsal and worship service shall be invoiced as separate individual units. This contract will have a Not to Exceed annual amount of 130 units for the Musician.
