Shipping Inventory Specialist

We are currently seeking a Shipping Inventory Specialist to join our Memphis Tennessee facility. This role supports daily shipping operations inventory control and warehouse coordination within our manufacturing environment to ensure accurate order fulfillment and on-time product shipments. The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions
Maintain accurate inventory records for materials components and finished goods at the Raines Road facility.
Verify that all warehouse procedures are followed for material handling inventory movement storage and documentation.
Issue materials to appropriate departments in the correct quantities and within required timeframes.
Manage and execute the cycle count program including counts reconciliation of discrepancies and corrective actions.
Investigate inventory variances and coordinate adjustments with management as required.
Coordinate shipping and inventory workflow to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Monitor and evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate with warehouse personnel and management regarding process improvements inventory issues and operational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality purchasing and logistics to optimize inventory management practices.
Assist in the training and coaching of warehouse personnel on proper procedures and safety practices.
Promote and model a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions and shipping activities.
Support shipping and receiving functions as needed to maintain operational efficiency.

Expected Hours of Work
Monday through Friday 40 hours per week
Work schedules may vary depending on operational demands.
Occasional overtime and weekend work including Saturdays may be required to support inventory activities shipping deadlines or operational needs.
Travel
Occasional local travel may be required between company facilities including locations in Olive Branch Mississippi and Memphis Tennessee to support inventory control material transfers or operational coordination.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
13 years of experience in warehouse operations inventory control shipping/receiving or related logistics functions.
Experience with inventory systems cycle counting and warehouse processes preferred.
Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certification or ability to obtain certification.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel Word and Outlook.
Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
