March 23 2026 - until end of 2025/2026 School Year

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide individual small group tutoring and/or classroom support in a sheltered immersion model to students who have been designated as English LanguageLearners

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Completed at least two years of study at an institute of higher education obtained at least an associate degree or meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to assist in instruction of El students as described under performance responsibilities.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to manage student programs under the supervision of a certified staff member.
4. Proficient in English and Spanish or Portuguese
5. Dependable

SKILLS/ABILITY:

1. Experience working in a classroom.
2. Experience/training working with English Learners.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

SALARY: $30/hour

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Union

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

You are required to be physically capable of escorting students from the building in case of a practice drill or emergency situation in a safe and timely fashion.

Must be able to move about the classroom and have the ability to bend sit or stand frequently.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or ELE Director
