POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide individual small group tutoring and/or classroom support in a sheltered immersion model to students who have been designated as English LanguageLearners
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completed at least two years of study at an institute of higher education obtained at least an associate degree or meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to assist in instruction of El students as described under performance responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage student programs under the supervision of a certified staff member.
- Proficient in English and Spanish or Portuguese
- Dependable
SKILLS/ABILITY:
- Experience working in a classroom.
- Experience/training working with English Learners.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Union
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
You are required to be physically capable of escorting students from the building in case of a practice drill or emergency situation in a safe and timely fashion.
Must be able to move about the classroom and have the ability to bend sit or stand frequently.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or ELE Director
