Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Access Control in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage location you will manage access control greet employees and visitors verify credentials and document entries and exits. You will remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents monitor assigned areas and communicate concerns to site leadership. Bring agility reliability and integrity while supporting a caring people-first culture through teamwork and professional customer service.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors contractors and delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
- Verify identity and authorization for entry using badges visitor logs sign-in procedures and/or credential checks; issue temporary credentials as directed and track returns.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian entry at gates and/or dock areas by checking bills of lading appointments and/or shipping documentation and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities and communicating with site leadership and/or local responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings staging areas parking lots and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns documenting observations and reporting issues per policy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
