The Associate Gift Planning Officer position is part of the Planned Giving department which functions as a service department to the fundraising segments within Focus on the Family and to our donors directly. This position exists to assist the Gift Planning Officer with the donor customer service and the processing and cataloging of planned gifts namely estate gifts that come to us through bequests. Additionally this position must have a high-level understanding of other planned gifts and financial planning concepts to assist and educate donors by answering questions and by being a resource to them. These activities involve extensive contact with both donors and industry professionals that require considerable initiative and independent judgment daily with only general direction from the Gift Planning Officer. The role consists of roughly 10% Project Coordinating 40% Customer Service and 50% administrative tasks related to the previous two Duties/Responsibilities:The Focus on the Family Planned Giving department oversees four major gift categories.
