DESCRIPTION:
The Payroll Team operates to a strict monthly schedule to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time and that all statutory and third-party payments are processed in accordance with legal and company requirements.
The Payroll Analyst I supports the UK & Ireland payroll process across one or more country payrolls. The role requires a good understanding of payroll processing including working with third-party payroll vendors validating payroll inputs and outputs and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Strong communication skills are essential as the role involves interaction with employees payroll vendors and internal stakeholders such as Colleague Services Finance and HR. The Payroll Analyst I is expected to develop in-depth knowledge of assigned country payrolls benefits and company payment policies.
Responsibilities:
Support the Payroll Team in processing assigned payrolls and all administrative tasks related to the monthly payroll process.
Perform payroll checks and validations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Address payroll inquiries and help resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
Support payroll accounting entries reporting and variance analysis with Finance
Adhere strictly to payroll calendars processes and control frameworks
Maintain compliance with internal control and audit standards
Participate in PPI and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Proven experience supporting UK/Ireland payroll processing
Experience working with third-party payroll vendors
Strong numerical skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
Process improvement mindset
Technology focussed approach to delivering high quality and timely payrolls
