Due to continued business growth and a secured pipeline of large-scale projects we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of reinforced concrete packages from handover through to completion.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to senior leadership the Project Manager is accountable for the full lifecycle delivery of assigned projects ensuring programme cost quality and safety objectives are achieved in alignment with contractual requirements.
This role requires strong commercial discipline technical capability and the ability to lead high performing site teams within a fast-paced construction environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Take full accountability for project performance from pre-construction to practical completion
- Lead and coordinate site teams engineers and subcontractors
- Drive programme adherence and ensure works are delivered in accordance with contract timeline
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with builders consultants and key project stakeholders
- Work closely with the client to ensure project delivery aligns with design intent programme requirements and buildability outcomes
- Represent PCF in project meetings and maintain a professional relationship with clients and project teams at all times
Commercial & Contractual Management
- Manage project budgets forecasting and cost control
- Assess and negotiate variations and claims both upstream and downstream
- Prepare and submit monthly project claims including variation submissions
- Monitor risk exposure and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure disciplined contract administrationpractices including notice of delay and extension of time processes
- Assist in subcontractor procurement and commercial management where required
Design Coordination
- Ensure all PCF permanent and temporary works design requirements are coordinated and delivered
- Identify scope gaps and design issues early and communicate buildability improvements with clients and consultants where appropriate
- Contribute to value engineering and construction methodology improvements
Safety Quality & Compliance
- Ensure projects comply with company safety systems contract specifications and Australian Standards
- Support implementation of site safety systems including SWMS inductions and compliance processes
- Identify opportunities to improve project quality outcomes and ensure company quality systems are followed
Programme & Project Control
- Maintain clear oversight of project programme performance
- Monitor progress against programme and communicate risks or delays through internal reporting structures
- Coordinate project resources and logistics to support successful delivery outcomes
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience managing reinforced concrete structures (substructure and superstructure)
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen within construction projects
- Experience using Bluebeam Aconex MS Project and Excel in a project delivery environment. Exposure to Jonas Premier Neo Intelligence and Visibuild advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage programme cost and risk concurrently
- Confident leader capable of driving performance across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
