Job Summary
Role: AWS Architect
Location: London UK

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect with strong hands-on expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms and lakehouse architectures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable secure and high-performance data solutions on AWS while collaborating closely with engineering and data teams to deliver robust cloud-native data pipelines and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures on AWS.
Build and manage lakehouse-based data platforms using modern AWS data services.
Architect and develop data ingestion processing and transformation pipelines.
Design and optimize data storage solutions using AWS services such as S3 and Lake Formation.
Develop serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue.
Implement data governance and access control frameworks using AWS-native capabilities.
Work with engineering teams to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
Design and manage data synchronization and data migration processes using AWS DataSync and related tools.
Ensure data platforms support multiple data formats and analytics workloads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet performance scalability and security requirements.
Document architecture designs standards and implementation guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services.
Strong expertise in AWS data and analytics services including:
AWS Lambda
AWS Glue
Amazon S3
AWS Lake Formation
Amazon Athena
Experience building Lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms.
Experience working with data formats such as Parquet and Iceberg tables.
Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
