Job Summary

Through proactive community and stakeholder engagement you will champion the values of Acorn Training and the Connect to Work Services we offer inspiring individuals to enrol in our programmes. As a pivotal figure in promoting active participation and enriching the learning journey of clients your responsibility lies in creating a nurturing this capacity you will enhance client referrals and starts for our Connect to Work programme. By forging robust partnerships with external stakeholders ensuring adherence to compliance standards and providing essential management insights regarding referral generation you will be at the forefront of driving growth.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and nurture strong and productive relationships with external stakeholders community organisations and networks to foster partnerships that support the growth and success of the Connect to Work Programme
  • Conduct effective information advice and guidance sessions to ensure potential clients are well-informed about the range of opportunities available through the programme
  • Engage proactively with potential clients employers and community groups (this list is not exhaustive) providing accurate and comprehensive information
  • Manage and maintain detailed learner referral information facilitating smooth communication and information sharing with relevant IPS staff
  • Respond promptly to referral inquiries offering necessary assistance and support in alignment with the specific requirements of clients
  • Attending all events when required and actively promoting the Connect to Work Programme
  • Meet monthly targets for programme starts
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies that encourage active participation attendance and commitment to the programme
  • Collect feedback to identify opportunities for programme enhancement and continuously improve the quality of experience
  • Actively collaborate with marketing and communication teams to effectively promote programmes and engage potential clients


Skills Knowledge and Expertise


Qualifications and Specific Training
  • GCSE grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English maths and ICT (essential)
  • Full driving licence and car (essential)
  • L3 IAG or equivalent qualification (desirable)
Experience
  • Track record of client and stakeholder engagement (essential)
  • Evidence of meeting and exceeding targets (essential)
  • Experience of providing excellent customer service (essential)
  • Experience of working:
  1. Jobcentre Plus
  2. Health Services: Primary care mental health teams and Integrated Care Boards
  3. Social Care: Community care settings and care providers
  4. Specialist Support Groups: Charities housing associations and organizations focusing on specific barrier conditions (e.g. substance dependency support homelessness services)
  5. Criminal Justice System: Work Coaches and mentors within prisons and rehabilitation centres
  6. Voluntary and Community Sector: Local charities and faith groups
  7. Education Providers (desirable)
Knowledge
  • Display an awareness understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults (essential)
  • Knowledge and understanding of safe and healthy working practices (essential)
  • Have an understanding of and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity (essential)
Skills
  • Ability to engage and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally (essential)
  • Excellent IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office packages (essential)
  • Strong communication skills written verbal and active listening (essential)
  • Be approachable empathetic and able to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds (essential)
  • Flexible and adaptable being open to new ideas and adapting engagement strategies to the needs of learners (essential)
  • Organisation and planning which demonstrates good time management and prioritisation (essential)
