The Trust wishes to appoint an applicant who holds a certificate of completion of specialist O&G training. Experience in advanced Obstetric ultrasound would be an advantage. A decision about their eligibility for the post will be taken by the short-listing panel once the qualifications of the field of applicants are established.

The successful candidate will join a large cohesive team of 24 consultants providing general and specialised obstetrics and gynaecology services to the population of East Hampshire and neighbouring areas. The post-holder will be expected to have a fortnightly elective Caesarean section list in their job plan to facilitate safe delivery of high-risk cases as well as a fortnightly half day session in the Maternity Assessment Unit reviewing pregnant people presenting to the service acutely. We are proud of our commitment to Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching across all specialities so qualifications and experience in teaching would be welcome.

The post-holder would be expected to assist with covering colleagues when they are unavailable. This can be offered prospectively with job planning or ad-hoc with additional compensation.
