Lead SDET

Key Responsibilities:  

• Lead the design and development of scalable test automation frameworks for AWS RESTful APIs.
• Minimum 2 years of AWS experience
• Automation-only role (no manual testing)
• Strong expertise in Python
• Handson experience with Selenium Cucumber and/or Playwright
• Define and drive end-to-end test strategies including functional integration regression performance and security testing.
• Collaborate with engineering product and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor and guide a team of SDETs and QA engineers conducting code reviews and promoting best practices.
• Own the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast reliable feedback loops.
• Exposure to performance testing tools like Locust Gatling or k6.
• Analyze test results identify trends and proactively address quality risks.
• Champion the use of modern testing tools techniques and metrics to continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field 
• 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing and automation with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Expertise in API testing tools such as RestAssured Postman Karate or Pact.
• Experience with test frameworks like PyTest JUnit TestNG.
• Deep understanding of API protocols authentication mechanisms and security best practices.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps).
• Experience with containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and AWS services
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Minimum 2-3 years in technical leadership or test lead role managing test teams or cross functional squads.
• Proven track record in delivering quality for large-scale cloud-native systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver to influence decision-making at all levels.
• Passion for driving a quality mindset continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Experience with contract testing service virtualization and mocking frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK).
• Background in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and DevOps culture.
