Job Summary
A South African retail franchise specialist and authorized Telkom partner thatfocuses on national sales distribution and in some cases mobile store on wheels activations is seeking commercially disciplined Group COOwhowill hold full accountability for national retail operations sales execution and EBITDA performance across digital enterprise and direct sales channels.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Oversight: Full P&L accountability; driving revenue growth while maintaining strict margin cost-to-income and payroll ratios.
Retail & Channel Management: Oversee a national network of 40 stores and lead performance across Direct Sales (DSF) Prepaid Postpaid and FTTH.
Operational Excellence: Optimize integration across Digital Call Centers and B2B segments through structured dashboards and forecasting frameworks.
Asset & Risk Control: Manage inventory levels optimize stock turn mitigate shrinkage and ensure audit/regulatory compliance.
Strategic Expansion: Evaluate and execute store rollout strategies based on defined ROI and IRR thresholds.
Leadership: Build and mentor high-performance regional and channel leadership teams.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 1015 years in senior retail or commercial operations leadership.
- Preferably BComm degree in Business management and or related field
Scale: Proven track record managing multi-site retail environments (30 locations preferred).
Industry: Background in Telecommunications Retail or high-volume consumer sectors.
Financial Acumen: Strong expertise in EBITDA management working capital control and operational restructuring.
Culture Fit: Ability to thrive and maintain discipline within a fast-paced founder-led growth environment.
