Who are we looking for

GHD is a respected leader in the Victorian and Australian Water Sector. We aim to create solutions that are both functional and practical innovative and sustainable and most importantly that meet the needs of our clients and communities.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with experience in water treatment desalination wastewater treatment and recycling or waste-to-energy to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our teams capabilities and the delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment projects for our clients.

Youll bring an appetite for building strong client relationships and a passion for delivering as part of a high performing team. Youll understand client and project technical requirements develop solutions and be an active team member in the preparation of multi-disciplinary strategies investigations and designs in water treatment.

We offer opportunities to work with the water industrys broad range of clients and with GHDs national and international projects.

This diverse position will see you involved in:

• Delivering various and significant Victorian Australian and international water and wastewater treatment projects by understanding clients needs providing technical guidance and support to the project team for small medium and large-scale projects (capex over $1b)
• Project management and leadership strategic advice and coordination of resources on a diverse range of projects in the water sector including advanced water treatment and desalination plants wastewater treatment recycling and waste-to-energy facilities.
• Assisting the Business Group Leader and senior staff in identifying and realising business opportunities and setting future directions for the group
• Assist in the development of other staff through mentoring appropriate supervision and training
• Leading project design and delivery of technical reports designs and specifications client proposals and presentations

What would you bring to the team

• 7 or more years of experience in chemical or mechanical engineering including water or wastewater treatment desalination recycling or waste-to-energy projects
• Experience in the development of engineering drawings design reports specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructure
• Project management or project support experiencetogether with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
• Willingness to contribute to business development activities backed by an active professional network
• Excellent listening and communication skills along with exceptional relationship and networking skills
