Position Overview:
The Operations Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence with shift supervisors and supporting talent management in the Production and Shipping departments. The person will play a critical role in supporting the Plant Manager through effective leadership and data driven actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising Shift Supervisors and Shipping Team
- Manage shift supervisors and the shipping supervisor
- Lead inventory management
GEMBA Leadership:
- Lead shift GEMBA walks to observe processes engage with teams and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure closure of key action items identified during GEMBA sessions to drive continuous improvement.
Talent Management & Training:
- Lead the hiring onboarding and structuring of training programs for Direct Labor (DL) and Indirect Labor (IDL) associates.
- Support the Plant Manager in talent management activities for Operations and Shipping Supervisors including performance reviews development planning and succession planning.
Support MCO/VCP Projects:
- Be the main operations point of contact to support RBS leader to deliver savings projects within Operations
Qualifications:
- 5 year supervisory experience and operational leadership
- 5 years in a Manufacturing environment
- Led Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams drive process improvements and manage change.
- Strong project management skills with experience in cost-saving initiatives.
- Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving related to operational cost drivers.
- Experience in talent management onboarding and training within a manufacturing environment.
