Job Description:

The College of Veterinary Medicines Department of Comparative Diagnostic and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications to join our Veterinary Forensic Pathology service as a full time clinical track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor in Veterinary Forensic Pathology.

The individual will participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory and will be expected to develop and participate in collaborative research. Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training of professional students and residents continuing education training and graduate student/fellow mentorship and education. The Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory is an internationally recognized leader in veterinary forensic science and provides service to a multitude of governmental and non-governmental agencies.

Expected Salary:

Salary will be based on the successful candidates professional qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position is a DVM or equivalent degree from an approved institution completion of a veterinary anatomic pathology residency training program or equivalent training and eligible to take the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) Phase II Certifying Examination. Experience in veterinary forensic science and/or veterinary forensic pathology and the ability to independently sign out cases are required.

Preferred:

ACVP board-certification in anatomic pathology is preferred.
