Data Analytics Intern

Summer 2026 Internship:This position is located at our HQ in Durham NC. Expected program dates are May 18 August 7 2026. Anticipated working hours will be 40 per week. Final hours and schedule will be determined between the intern and their manager.

Introduction:

We are seeking a motivated and analyticalData Analytics Intern to join our team for a fulltime summer internship. This role is ideal for a student who is eager to gain handson experience transforming data into actionable insights usingPower BI and Tableau. The intern will partner closely with analytics and business stakeholders to support reporting dashboards and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing building and maintaininginteractive dashboards and reportsusingPower BI and Tableau
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends patterns and business insights
• Support data cleaning validation and transformation efforts to ensure data accuracy
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (e.g. Finance Sales Operations) to understand reporting needs
• Document data definitions report logic and dashboard usage
• Present findings and insights to team members in a clear and concise manner
• Contribute to adhoc analytics projects and process improvement initiatives

Must Have

• Currently majoring in Data Analytics Data Science Business Analytics Computer Science Statistics Economics or a related field and actively enrolled in a degree seeking program (undergraduate or graduate)
• Handson experience withPower BI and/or Tableau(academic internship or project-based experience acceptable)
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Working knowledge ofExcel(pivot tables formulas) and basic data manipulation
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills

• Experience withSQLor other query languages
• Familiarity with databases data modeling concepts or ETL processes
• Exposure to programming languages such asPython or R
• Previous internship coursework or projects involving realworld data analysis
