Job Summary
Include in this category persons employed for the primary purpose of performing academic support student service and institutional support activities and whose assignments would require either college graduation or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background. Include employees such as librarians accountants personnel counselors system analysts coaches lawyers and pharmacists.
Responsibilities
Common duties for this position include:
- Assisting patrons with their research tasks and providing research assistance through our Archives Space repository retrieving and returning materials and processing the returns through Aeon.
- Monitoring patrons use of delicate research materials in the reading room through adherence to our monthly patron calendar.
- Assisting staff with the WCAG 2.1 requirements by preparing oral history transcripts of several historical programs.
- Conducting weekly inspections of the basement carrels and documenting any changes to the collections such as missing boxes damaged materials or changes to inventory.
- Processing metadata for the Gandy collection of aerial photographs.
- Inventory and arrangement of the map cases to refine the inventory and document any missing materials.
- Additional responsibilities include tasks such as shelving items shifting collections and organizing material.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
